The purpose of providing unemployment benefits is to help people maintain the necessities that they need while they pursue other employment. Generally speaking, people who qualify for unemployment benefits will lose their benefits because they did not timely file or properly process their claim unless they can show that they were prevented from timely filing their claim or processing their claim correctly. Many times people are just careless and don’t know who to call to help them or they don’t speak the language.
